Are you looking to start a blog of your own? If you’ve ever tried doing so, you know that it can be hard to find the right place to host your content. Another reason why WordPress is such a great choice is that it’s backed by a huge community that’s very helpful. The support forums are always packed with people who want to help, and there are tutorials for just about anything you need to know how to do. You can also find plugins and themes created by other users for free, which will save you money on costs of maintaining your blog or website. Tumblr is all about self-expression, says founder David Karp. It’s all about using this platform as a means for you to express yourself.
You may not get quite as much control over how your content appears on Tumblr as you do with other blogging platforms. For example, it won’t let you put images into a post without first uploading them to your account. However, most people love its simple interface and fast loading time.

There are plenty of free blogging sites out there, but we think these five are the best.
1. WordPress – The most popular free blog site online, WordPress is a great choice for beginners. With over one million free themes and plug-ins to choose from, you’re sure to find something that suits your style and needs.
2. Tumblr – The second most popular free blog site on this list, Tumblr is a great choice for users who want to build their social media presence without spending money. You can re-post your content to Facebook or Twitter easily and they also have a built-in GIF maker that allows you to create posts with animated pictures from Giphy or other sources of animated GIFs with ease.

I found that Ghost is a lot like WordPress, but it was much easier to use. I liked how quickly I could get started with blogging, and there was a lot of flexibility in the platform. It even had a mobile app that made posting my blog posts on-the-go easy and quick. The only downside is that Ghost is still relatively new – which means there’s not as many tutorials out there for it yet, so sometimes I felt like I was going blindly. Overall though, if you’re looking for a free blogging platform with some great features, then Ghost might be right up your alley!
